The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group
Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.
What’s Next?
Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Strategists parties.
Viewers can anticipate learning which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
